AROM stands for a range of motion. In biomechanics, a range of motion describes the extent a body can be moved around a fixed point. For us, it describes a gallery as the locus from which community, opportunities, and celebrations of making can flourish and grow.

AROM is a not-for-profit gallery and digital art space by and for artists. Our current home is located in the heart of Budapest, where we're hosting a three month pop-up exhibition series showcasing works by Hungarian and international artists. Arom was founded in 2024 by Wade Burleson and Martina Taylor.
Arom is not-for-profit; we do not operate with the business goal of earning revenue. Any sale inquiries will be directed to the artist.
Martina Taylor is a textile artist who works primarily with quilting, embroidery, and weaving. Her work was recently exhibited at the Fireland Association of Visual Art’s 20th Biennial Artist as Quiltmaker exhibition (OH) and Threading the Needle at the CF Webber Gallery (FL). Martina has received scholarships from various craft schools, including Penland School of Craft and Arrowmont. She is excited to return to Hungary after receiving a grant from the Oberlin Center for Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies (OCREECAS) to research Hungarian folk embroidery in Budapest last January.
Wade Burleson is a multidisciplinary media artist and printmaker from California. His work was recently exhibited in a solo show at Oberlin College, exploring print and digital media inspired by a Hungarian Graphic Design Seminar with Kristina Paabus. Wade has worked at the 56 Henry gallery in New York City and along with Martina, was a founding member of Baby's First Christmas, an artist collective and exhibition space in Ohio. Wade is a two time recipient of the Gail Gorlitz grant at Oberlin.
